Over eight immersive days, you will progress through a carefully structured curriculum led by our patient and certified instructors. We believe in learning by doing, so you’ll spend maximum time on the snow, building muscle memory and confidence. Starting on the gentle nursery slopes, you’ll master the fundamentals before advancing to longer runs and eventually, the iconic Gondola Phase 1.
Your adventure is complemented by a comfortable stay at the deluxe Shanu Lodge, where you can relax and recharge after an exhilarating day. This course is about more than just skiing; it’s about conquering a new skill, pushing your limits, and falling in love with the majestic mountains of Gulmarg.
You will be greeted by our team at Srinagar Airport and chauffeured in a comfortable vehicle to Gulmarg. Check into the luxurious Shanu Lodge and take some time to acclimatize to the altitude. In the evening, meet your instructors for an orientation and get excited for the adventure to come.
After breakfast, we head to the Wildsnow shop to get you fitted with your ski equipment. Your first lesson begins on the "baby slopes," where you'll learn the absolute basics: balancing, walking on skis, and the fundamental "snowplough" for control.
Today is all about refining your turns. You'll practice making smooth S-shaped turns on easy, wide slopes. Your instructor will focus on improving your posture and control, helping you feel more comfortable and in command of your skis.
Confidence boost day! After warming up, you'll take your first ride on a ski lift (poma lift). This opens up access to longer, more enjoyable beginner runs, allowing you to practice linking your turns continuously and getting into a rhythm.
A milestone day! You'll ride the legendary Gulmarg Gondola up to Kongdori (Phase 1). The panoramic views are breathtaking. You'll spend the day practicing on the wide, gentle slopes here, learning to handle different snow conditions and terrain under expert guidance.
With a full day in the Phase 1 area, we focus on refining your technique. Your instructor will give you personalized tips to make your skiing more efficient and stylish. You'll explore different runs, gaining a deeper understanding of mountain safety and navigation.
Your final day of skiing! Put all your skills to the test as you enjoy several exhilarating runs from the top of Phase 1. Feel the incredible sense of achievement as you glide down the mountain. In the evening, we'll have a celebratory dinner where you'll be awarded a certificate of achievement.
Enjoy a final hearty breakfast at the lodge. After packing, our team will drive you back to Srinagar Airport for your flight home, leaving you as a certified, confident skier with unforgettable memories.
