I had never touched snow before this trip, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. WildSnow’s 6-day beginner ski package in Gulmarg was the perfect intro — not just to skiing, but to the magic of Kashmir. The instructors were patient and genuinely fun to learn with. We started on baby slopes and by Day 4, I was gliding down Phase 1 with a huge grin on my face.
The hotel was cozy, the food comforting (hello, endless bowls of kahwa), and the views? Unreal. I met some amazing people, laughed a lot, and even fell a few times — but that’s part of the charm. If you’re nervous about skiing, don’t be. This trip made me feel like I belonged on the snow.
